Hooray for the Graves Family!

   Posted by: TimMc   in Uncategorized

Many of you know that I grew up in North Texas in a little town called Henrietta. A few of you know that I spent several years working on a cattle ranch for Alan and Jacquetta Graves. It was by far some of the hardest work I’ve ever done in my life. However, I can say without a doubt that it was also an absolute blast to work with Alan! If he called me today and asked me to come down and give him a hand…I’d be there tomorrow.

Earlier this month, the T-Bar Ranch received the Outstanding Rangeland Management award from the Texas Section Society for Range Management during the association’s annual convention in Nacogdoches. After receiving this award, the Clay County Leader did a big write up about Alan and Jacquetta in the paper. If you’re interested in reading more about the best ranch in North Texas, you can read the whole story here.

*Yes, these are actual pictures of some of Alan’s cows. I had the wonderful privilege of taking my entire family out on the ranch for a few days while we were visiting there in April of 2007. My boys still talk about all of the bass they caught out on the big tank! Great memories. Thanks Alan and Jacquetta!
